WIHA QuickFix Lockable Audible Slide Lock Adjustable Pliers
Sur cette vidéo, je montre le dispositif qui permet de fermer la pince après usage. Cette astuce répond aux problèmes de rangement et de sortie d'une pince multiprise automatique dans et d'une boîte à outil. Modèle 32668 : http://issuu.com/wihatools/docs/wiha_pliers_catalog?viewMode=magazine&mode=embed "Open and slide to adjust opening size. Audible click at each locking position. Close to lock." Wiha est une entreprise d'outillage toujours allemande (et non américaine comme Facom) qui propose des outils à main d'excellente qualité et très bien conçus.

- 1. On my self-adjusting pliers Facom 485.17, I can read: "patented R". On my RoboGrip (Passat Outillage - B&C Hamburg), I can read : "PAT. 4.651.598 PAT. 4.662.252 MADE IN U.S.A." My search on freepatentsonline : it's a Spanish inventor :)
- 2. I do not know which is the company which conceived the first one this kind of pliers.
- 3. I have a pliers RoboGrip, an very effective, comfortable and very strong pliers. We can lock handles squeezing the pliers through the top handles (side pliers) but the slightest shock unbolts it. The principle of Slide lock adjustable pliers is used by Facom for its range of automatic pliers : Bricolage-outillage.fr/index-page-detai ls-produit-2586-np-pince_multiprise_aut omatique_485.23-selcat-308.html
- 4. First comment. I remember the RoboGrip pliers. They were the best selling Craftsman hand tool at Sears for quite a while, according to Sears. They are still being sold although not in the range of models they once had. Good video.
